I remember hunting around for one of those back in the day, but they were like gold dust. Ended up with a Brooklands green Sport LE instead. Oh how I wish I had kept it.

Looks nice, what's special about this model?

If I remember rightly, the colour and matching green leather. And steering wheel? Body colour arches and 4 lights fog/spots on the front?

Nice Mini, that wants keeping standard if you were to ask me. I would get a set of the original alloys. Be worth more in the long run in factory spec.

I agree. And it looks like it's only the wheels that have been changed?
Should it have a roof aerial like other MPI's?

Based on an SPi so the wing aerial is correct. That steering wheel doesn't look standard though as they were coloured matched to the seats originally I think.

Don't do anything to it except to keep it in top condition and as-original.
That model will surely increase in value and be a delight to drive and own.
So under 'what to do to it' you can include 'Waxoil thoroughly', service the mechanicals such as the suspension, feed and clean the leather and polish it with Autoglym.
Then just enjoy driving and owning such a lovely and rather unique classic car.
It looks great.

Couldnt have put it better, one of the nicest LE Minis they made, along with a burgundy "30", that gets my vote!
My personal opinion is that the Cosmics dont suit it however.

Are you in Scotland by any chance?

Talking of the burgundy Mini 30, I know where there will shortly be a fully restored and totally immaculate one for sale. In fact it is in the workshop where my recently bought 1990 Cooper rally car is sitting and I can't get my Cooper out until the Mini 30 is on its wheels. Anyone interested PM me. It won't be finished until around mid-year.
But the Mini 35 Monte Carlo is even rarer than a Mini 30 and will be a real collectors car soon, if it is not already.
I think the wheels should be 4.5 x 10 Minilites.
