i removed my loom 3 years ago. Just come to refit replacent and cant remember the route for the rear loom. Ive a feeling that it ran from tank side of seat through side bin and along floor. Rather than over the roof? Can anyone confirm please ? Should have taken more photos.
Thanks sprok

Or if someone could lift their rear passenger side carpet for me and see if the loom comes out of the bottom of the bin ?
Its really stopping progress.

Thanks so much

this depends on the year of your mini.

pre '94 runs through the roof.

'94 and later runs over the floor.

they are very easy to tell apart, since the one that runs over the floor has a circular rubber on it (that fits in the side bin).

Also, the backseat panel for '94 and later models is different, there's a little cut out for the wiring loom plugs.

There's a circular hole in your left side bin, and there's a square-ish hole in your crossmember.

Perfect Dave mine is 1996. From the crossmember going forwards does the loom stay in the floor channel then run straight up the bulkhead? Or to one side. Thanks for replying

I am pretty sure it stays in the gutter, but i am not so sure where it goes after that.

I believe it runs towards the middle before it goes up, I have looked through all my pictures but cant find anything..

Hopefully someone else can answer this question.

I've got a 97 JDM SPI (built in 96) and here's a bunch of pictures from my on going rebuild that might help you. The loom head up the bulkhead behind your carpet and sound proofing up behind the lower dash rail.

Mate those photos are magic. Dont suppose you have one going up to toe board into the bulkhead ?

Thank you so very much

No probs. I did have a look yesterday but I don’t think i have any pictures of that bit. I’ll have another look for you. I only recently put all the carpets and dash back in on mine and from memory it just goes straight up the bulkhead taped and up above the lower dash rail where all the cabling runs.

I definitely won’t have a picture of that cable routing from below to above the lower dash as my SPI is a JDM that space is full of air conditioning stuff and I didn’t move the loom during the rebuild.

I've been through all the pickies I've taken during the rebuild and these are the only ones I have that are remotely looking at the area you're after. I don't think it really matters where it actually goes up the bulkhead as long as it gets above the lower dash rail. Good luck

Has anyone got a foto of how the loom goes around the tank please?
I have the tank out & the loom appears out of the top of the rear parcel shelf on my ‘65 Elf, I need to know if the loom goes over or under the filler neck.
