Stupid question time. I'm about to reskin my doors, and wondering what people use to mount the wing mirrors? Something like riv nut sort of things maybe. Cheers

Riv nuts are the popular option, or you could fit floating anchor nuts. BUT if you are happy with the wing mirror location and the skin is off weld some nuts on the inside of the skin.

No spinning to worry about.

Thanks Neil. Was thinking of bullet or torpedo mirrors (who needs to see behind you any way haha) but have seen some advertised in mini mag I like the look of. I was worried that they may all use different fixing methods or sized screws etc

Thats the thing, i have had a couple of cars that have had numerous holes which to me show different mirrors have been fitted over a period of time. Something to ponder about.

I might buy the mirrors before I fit the skins then to be sure. Thanks
