Good Morning all,

I am sure that there are lots of opinions on this so here it goes.

Does anyone have any experience with painted bumpers and grills? I have a 1984 blue mini mayfair and want to powder coat the bumpers, grill and grill surround either high gloss white or ktm orange.

what is the general consensus? Does anyone have regrets of doing something similar or does anyone have pictures of theist work the they had done.

Many thanks

The bumpers on mine were painted over chrome when I bought it, it looks fine to start with but chips very easily and I stuck some masking tape over it to stop me damaging the paint when doing the clutch and it pulled all the paint off. I've now got some grey ones (which I've had painted to match the roof and wheel arches) from Minispares which are cheap and fit well. As for the grille, I have no idea, maybe a scuff and some etch primer?
