Having just acquired the Mini, there was only one jet fitted and piping broken. On the basis that I could see some water come out and I could hear the pump working, I bought all new piping for the engine bay area and fitted 2 new jets. Now, when I activate the washers, one dribbles and water leaks from somewhere under the front drivers wing onto the ground. Where does the piping run from back to front as it looks like I'll have to replace a lot more.

Cheers

Andrew

It goes through the bulkhead, up the A post, along the cant rail and down the C post.

Ah, OK. What can also happen is that one way valve in the boot can seize. Worth replacing :)

That's what I bought. Same, but cheaper.

Looked at it today and can see the water running down from the pipe right up in the arch near the skuttle behind the air intake pipe work

Access is bad and just asking if I can get to it from behind the dash and if not, can I get to the A post where the tubing runs

Looks a bastar@d of a job

Any ideas or advice appreciated

If you remove the dash, you will see the tube enter the cabin from the engine bay.

I would be trying to find a straight pipe joiner (or sacrificing a t-piece to make one) and then attaching the two pipes together at the bottom of the A pillar to use the old one as a draw rope for the new one.
