59d diz with powerspark points replacement module.
Non ballast coil
The engine runs well and idles ok but it has a persistent miss at idle which you can hear as the puffing on the audio.
It's a new engine and head which I don't really know the history of.
It pulls very well through all gears but I'd really like to get to the bottom of this.
One thing I'd add is that the bypass on the head is blanked off so I've drilled 2 x 4mm holes in the stat rim. It doesn't seem to get as hot as I'd expect on the gauge or by feel.
Things I've tried.
Adjusted timing.
Reset valve clearance to 0.3mm.
Swapped plugs for known good ones.
Cleaned diz cap contacts and rotor arm contacts.
Adjusted fuel mixture.
Checked for air leaks.
Swapped plug leads about but admittedly not changed for new.
Has anyone got any other ideas?
