Quick one. Im rebuilding front subframe and brake pipes. The brake pipe that goes around front subframe joins the banjo fitting in front left side as viewed from front. Then the pipe goes from the banjo up to the bias valve but that pipe is not originally in one length. Theres a small swiggle shaped pipe which connects the upgoing pipe to the bias valve. I understand the bias is metric and most of the rest is UNF BUT why this extra squiggle of a pipe connecting the bias to front sub pipes? Is there some reason for this.
I would have thought a metric male onto the upgoing pipe directly into the valve would be best ? There must be a reason ?
Can snyone shead light for me please ?

Nick is correct, it allows some flex where a straight pipe would not.

Whilst you are at it consider removing the troublesome FAMWTF valve and simplify the system

It will be a lot easier to bleed the system then too, some have struggled for days
