Soon to be installing an auxiliary electric fan in my 1970 Mini. Just wondering where the best place to take the power from in the engine bay would be?

I'd suggest from where the main battery cable connects to the starter solenoid.

I'd use a piggy back spade terminal to go on the white wires at the fuse box.
I run the new wire to a toggle switch on the dash

i would use a relay and a switch either manual or temp controlled or both main power from the solenoid and the switch from some fused live.

Intending to use a relay and toggle switch but was going to trigger the relay with the earth through the toggle switch?
