Hi All,

I have an '88 Designer that I'm currently restoring. I need a N/S upper bulkhead repair where the bonnet hinge is, and this seems to be one of the few panels that aren't available (I can only see entire bulkheads).

I have been asking around and I have been offered a heritage upper bulkhead off cut from a 1990 on wards car. Would the bit I need be compatible? I have attached a pic of the section I need from the correct year panel. and the 90's, but the pics arnt great.

Would appreciate any input before I buy the off-cut,

Thanks

Michael

The later bulkhead has the extra bracket in centre of your photo for some relays to be mounted and the large hole behind the old centre speedo was omitted plus some small holes for the later type heater hoses were added. None of these should be a problem and would be cut away to obtain your small panel required. The bonnet hinges are in the same position, only very early Minis had the bonnet hinges more inboard.
