hi my temp gauge always goes off the scale changed the gauge its a smiths one changed sender 3 times any ideas. and its not overheating

Replacing it with a capillary clock is the best thing....

You will know what the actual temp is then, even with no electrics

Has the gauge been wired with a direct 12volt supply instead of going through the voltage stabiliser?

Just to check there isn't a short somewhere, if you disconnect the wire from the sender, does it still read anything?

I had the same problems a few times.

Fit a capillary-type gauge and remove the problem.

The Stewart-Warner one from Mini Spares looks a good price and their stuff is usually fine.

wired thrugh stabaliser fuel gauge fine if disconnected gauge shows nothing
