I'm running turbo block, 1293cc (without a turbo) and need to change the manifold gasket, my thought is these turbo gaskets are a bit more hardy and better sealing.  I see mini spares sell 2 different ones. It says the later injection one is used on earlier cars too. Hence as my car is not injection, even tough its a slightly different shape, I can't see an issue with fitting this newer one, especially as it is half the price. Thoughts?

Newer for injection:

Also has anyone fitting a silicone rocket gasket, any good?

has the head been ported?

I use this http://www.minispare...063MG.aspx|Back to

the silicon gaskets do not like being over tightened and work best with the steel covers. personally I think the mix is not correct and it should be stiffer.

No, head not ported.

That gasket looks too big for mine.

So shall I go with the injection one?

I have a steel rocker cover.

Spoke to Mini Spares, they say the injection one is the one to go for, as I haven't got a ported head.
