Changing Bulb To Led Indicators On A Classic

Hi help  I want to change my front bulb indicators whole lamp for led . Thought i'd just take one light off and put a new led light on, did that but they just light up and don't flash

I think you will need a different flasher unit specifically for LEDs

Just to add to the above, if you have a centre console with a single indicator warning lamp, if you use LED bulbs it with either not illuminate, or be dim due to the higher resistance of the bulbs, so you may need to re wire using something like this:

As the other guys have said, you need to either fit Resistors or swap the Flasher for an LED type.

 

I've found the LED Flasher Cans to be 'silent', ie, they don't give off an audible sound when the Indicators are on.

 

Spiyda Design have a version that does, there might be others, but none I've found.
