I'm going to be fitting a duplex chain and sprockets to my A+ engine, what modifications do i need to do to the timing cover besides the countersunk screws under the crank sprocket?

Its a 1275 engine.

There's a little dimple in the cover behind the redundant sensor bracket that needs dressing out or it will catch on the chain, Easiest way to do it is to cut the bracket off and use a cross pein hammer to tap it out from the inside,

To fit a 1275 cover with breather you need to cut out the oil retaining shield ( top arrow )

and bash the indent flat so the chain dose not wear a hole throu the cover ( second arrow )

Counter sink these two holes

used for a plug in diagnostic sensor on some later cars. timing trigger thing. not needed can be removed.
