thank you proress may slow a bit at the moment due to work and before welding i want to measure measure and measure again then offer up a bare subframe that i can bolt to the boot floor rear mounts and measure again haha or make a jig that uses an unmolested shell just to be sure

so i have to admit to having a bit of a panic with the build over the weekend with the heelboard fitted i had a difference between left and right of 8 mm i am using the fixed point of the subframe mounting bolt holes on the boot floor with a threaded bar and two nut to lock it tight with 200mm protruding below the floor each side [ i know the tunnel is the right height as its tacked to the box section leg that was welded to the old tunnel ] initially i thought i must have cocked up fitting the floor that maybe one side wasnt pushed in as far as the other even tho the ends all butt up tight against the bulkhead and inner wings [amazing what goes through your head]
the dreaded self doubt and the mental crusher
so today i took the heelboard off and started measuring from the punched holes on the heritage floor /inner cill to the end of the inner cill and there were differences of 3 and 6 mm from 1 side to the other on the inner cill and that transfered to the return lip at the ends that made me breath a sigh of releif to be honest because it explained quite a lot and i could take it into account when getting things square so a bit of work with a hammer and doly straightening the return lip at the back of the floor pan then knocking down some of the puckering in the metal where it goes up around the tunnel
after around an hour measuring measuring then measuring again and writing everything down i now have exactly the same both sides pheeeew i know the panels are only tec screwd in place but even so still a lot of potch to take it all apart and refit line up ect so i guess in a long winded way what ime saying is even tho the panels are heritage there are plenty of innacuracies so check them guys

progress has been slow lately due to work but its been tipping down today so a day off so i spent a day changing the passenger side door aperaure panel i wasnt happy with the work done on it last time to be honest i also fitted the heel board after making a jig from an unmolested shell also welded the inner wings to the bulkhead at the lower front
