Hi all,

I have been doing a bit of reading to get an idea of where to start in order to get more power from my engine.

It would appear a new head is the main bit to begin with to see noticable differences. I was just wondering if anyone would have some advice as to where / what to go for?

and any other ancillary bits as I am trying to make a list of items!

I drive a 96 Rover sprite with a Stage one kit from Maniflow and a straight pipe with no cat on currently.

Thanks in advance

Speak to Turbo Phil (he's based in Cumbria)

Or AC Dodd

My advice is to do a full compression or leak down test to see how good the bottom end is.

As a rough guide you'll be looking at £500 for your head to be stripped and rebuilt to an agreed spec. If you have the head off id think about a cam change?
