In this era of environmental friendliness it's a shame that Maniflow as a specialist manufacturer don't make a stainless system with repackable silencers.

As always I really appreciate all of your expert advice.
Well it Sounds pretty unanimous that the long branch maniflow is the manifold to go for.
I will hold off until funds allow to get the manifold and exhaust at the same time.... those guys and maniflow do know how to charge, but sounds as though it’ll be worth it.

Thanks again.

Personally I'd fit the free flow manifold, I have one on my clubman estate and it is a single piece manifold that's much easier to get down the back of the motor

Agreed. There is no argument in favour of a normal LCB, but several arguments for a freeflow - easier to fit, no y piece, more torque.

The '3-into-1' tubular manifold is ideal for engines revving at less than 6000 rpm. It enables the optimum gas velocity to be reached sooner in the manifold.

The other thing to avoid is a twin-pipe parallel exit, or a final pipe which is a larger diameter than the main pipe.

A 1.75" I/D exhaust pipe is about ideal for a 1275 and 1.625"I/D  for a 998.

My pro-tip would be to get yourself a TMF+ membership on here and buy your Maniflow manifold from MiniSpares with discount for less than you get it from Maniflow themselves. That's what I did anyway.

Right. I’m pretty sure on my decision now.
Free flow manifold. ✅
Which exhaust? You have all persuaded me maniflow is the way to go.
Do I go with?
The twin box 1.3/4, or the megaphone 1.3/4?
Are there advantages/disadvantages to either. The maniflow website is only half clear. I’d love to hear from experience about both.

Are they of similar sound? Is one deafening more than the other?
Are there major increases in drivability from one or the other?
