Looking to sell my 80% completed project to part fund a restoration of my mk1 mini.

For Sale is the following as one package.

Shell - cut for Z cars gen1 kit and frame is fitted, fully rolling, 95% of welding is complete, has had new cross member, new steel front end inc new inner wings, as full webasto roof, has MK1 cooper s badging on bonnet and fibre glass boot again with mk1 cooper s badges and mk1 rear lights fitted. shell has a MK2 private plate but is correctly registered as a 1990 mini cooper. Doors need a reskin - but i have aluminium skins to come with the project. Comes with original mini wiring loom. (cost £3500 from Mini Technique) - loads of history. NOTE: FRONT END IS NOW FITTED & WELDED.

MK1 mini cooper s look a like, registration MDP795K, HPI clear.
Frame - Z Cars Gen1 - bought from Huddersfield Mini Spares (6 months ago), i was advised that this was bought from the auction during the asset sales when they hit financial issues many years ago. Has new coilovers, all fitted within the car, just needs a little seam sealer / sealant under bottom cross member to floor pan abutment and torquing up (Cost over £5000), comes with hand brake cables and gear lever. Inc electric reverse motor, radiator and a small race fuel tank

Wheels - New wheels (cost over £600) from Huddersfield Mini Spares with new tyres.

Engine - Used Gen1 Hayabusa engine bought from running bike, with wiring loom and ECU, also comes with throttle bodies and clocks (cost over £2500), comes with manifold and exhaust.

Running Gear - all front end running gear was bought new from Huddersfield Mini Spares, inc new hubs, brake calipers, discs, all new arms fully adjustable, new bushes, new Willwood brake bias kit, new steering rack fitted

Interior - New Monaco Pro seats (not fitted), inc new frames and brackets, new harnesses, new carpet set.

Car is pretty much ready for paint (front end and doors - if blending in), just doors reskinning, minor bubbling to be removed off bonnet and fitting the new seam covers. engine bay and floor inside is painted in Buzzweld WAR paint for maximum protection, underneath is painted in Stoneguard.

only major jobs left are fitting new door skins, prep & paint, wiring and plumbing.

£7000 ono (May break if enough interest).

As per listing, doors need re-skinning, painting / blending of front end and doors, plumbing, wiring, engine can be fitted to mounts but isn’t yet fitted to allow any engine work that new owner wishes to pursue.
