Is This The Way To Mod The Oil Filter Console

I have bought this one in order to fit a oil temperature sensor and remove the bypass valve in the filter console. does it look ok?

From what I can see of it, it looks fine.

 

Be sure the By-pass Plug is well secure and the Gasket Face is flat.

is that sender unit going to get wet? be in flow?

Good point. I Will look at IT and possible try to fit a screw somewhere

The sensor is just loosely fitted in that pic. IT Will be screwed more in.

Will probably get somewhat wet. Its for a metro. Why?
