Hi,

I'm new to Mini's (well ownership - I've driven quite a few in the past) and have brought a rolling project Mayfair (pictures to follow) which I'll be restoring over the next 12months. I'm looking forward to getting some knowledge and learning all about the car - I've not had to mechanically touch one before so first stop - Haynes manual!!

If there is anyone in the Gloucestershire area who wants to impart some knowledge/pitfalls etc. please get in touch :-)

Cheers,

Hamish

Alright!  Welcome to the forum.

Regarding the Haynes manual, go for the older one which says "Owners workshop manual" rather than the later one which says "Service and repair manual" on the front; it's far better.
