Ive bought new ECU, main and rear looms for this rebuild 96 spi 1275.

Im trying to figure out how the looms lay in the engine bay as my strip down photos dont really show it.

Starting with the ECU loom. Does this pass through the hole in the inner wing to crossmember triangular strengthening bracket. If so lord knows how i get the ecu connector through ? Or does this loom follow a different path ?

Ive never liked wiring !
Thank you
Jon

Having looked at a few photos on the web looks like ecu loom doesnt go through that hole?!

I'm guessing this will get moved to the SPI/MPI area soon but the attached photo might help you. Without the engine in there all the loom just flops around. It all passes through to the inside of the car via the one central hole you can see there.

Hope it helps. This my built-in-96, JDM SPI, so I probably have more wiring :)

(if you want a hi-res image just PM me your email address. I have loads from my strip down and rebuild)

Perfect thanks. Confirms what i thought. The main loom passed through that triangular bracket but ECU loom, as you say seems to flop about !
Theres a hook shaped metal bracket on the front of the flywheel housing. I wonder if the ECU loom clips on there
What a pain.

I have to fit the main loom with the engine in now too
Thank you
