Currently restoring a 96 SPI and realy wanted to bench test the engine beforeI refitted to the car but time constraints meant i hadto install the engine this week.

The car is almost assembled BUT the main loom is away being replicated ! I have a second hand 96 SPI Loom which i was thinking of connectingjust to try and run the engine.

Does anyone know what are the bare bones essential connections i need to mate to make the engine run? Ive no experience with these SPI units but was hoping to get away with the least amount of conections to run the engine ?

Autosparks are estimating 8-10 weeks for my new loom !!!

Thank you
Jon

Just to get the engine started you will need.

ECU

Relay box

Alarm to bypass mobilizer

Crank sensor for timing

Coil

Injector for fuel

Fuel pump and inertia switch

Throtle stepper motor to control idle

Ignition Key to power it all.

Limp home mode should take care of temerature and oxygen sensors
