During the process of removing the hub, the inboard bearing remained in place. After I destroyed the outer bearing cage, the inner race remains and seems to have become one with the CV joint shaft. Any suggestions for removal? Heat? Dremel? Should I expect sufficient damage to the CV joint to require replacement? Right now, I’m thinking that the best option would be to replace the CV joint as I’m not sure new bearings would fit onto a possibly damaged shaft. Opinions?

If you are 'in a bind' you can heat the bearing and then hit it with a chisel and hammer - be sure to wear a face shield - however, you'll find the CV itself has worn and will need to be replaced too

in the old days i would just get the angle grinder out. and then hit it with a cold chisel.

Pulled the CV joint and decided that trying to remove the inner bearing race wasn't the solution.  Am in the process of banging away, trying to get the CV joint over the circlip on the driveshaft.  There has to be an easier way.
