It has a fuel boost valve. I don’t know about pressure.

It’s definitely fuel and not oil.

Did you have the boost valve set up on a rolling road?

Is there a fuel pressure regulator on it? If so is it set to 3psi
Hmmm. Fuel pressure regulator......................

On a fuel-injected Mini? If it's fuel injected, it won't even start on 3 psi. (this is the injection mini subforum)

Please specify what type of mini you are driving and also which kit from minisport you installed.
I did installed a 85bhp upgrade kit from minisport, that is a cylinder head and exhaust system replacement only and still using the original engine management system. Are you installed the same kit with me?
If you installed the same kit with me, you may have leaking oil from the cylinder head gasket. Check your oil level first.

the other possibility apart from fuel pressure is an iffy injector, they can dribble which would mean rich at low fuel rates, and also the fuel spray pattern may be rubbish making it harder to atomise/ burn. probably worth pulling them and getting them checked/cleaned.
any signs of a pair of plugs being blacker?
also possible, is an iffy temp sensor, this should show up on a scan. come to think of it how about the thermo stat, you should have an 88 in there.

Mine was fine, just had problems with the valve stemes leaking on the new head. It went back to Minisport and was fixed (even though they said there was nothing wrong with the head...)
I had min setup on a rolling road and set to 3bar. All the emissions were fine

Anyone else had a problem with their MiniSport 85/90 BHP conversions overfueling at idle? I find that it runs spot on however as soon as I’m stationary, so at idle then the car builds up fuel in the exhaust which it gets rid of in the form of a not so lovely grey cloud as soon as press the accelerator. My concern is getting it through its next MOT in this state. I was told that Specialist Components do an ECU that would be programmable and could potentially be set up to stop this however at £975 plus vat just for the parts let alone setting it up then I’m reluctant!
Anyone else had this issue?
Fuel in the exhaust ???
How can it get there ? it is defying the four stroke cycle and combustion and it can only be a matter of time before it goes bang....
Its more than an over fueling issue, you need to contact Msprt
A kit should be a kit, fit forget and enjoy
