I know there are at least a couple of us entered, but if anybody fancies a look out then the start is from the Bickerton poacher on the 2nd. Lots of old classics and always a decent collection of minis.

I shall be marshalling again this year with my old rallying friend Cec Offley.
I see 9 Minis are entered.
Should be a good event.

I can't disclose where, but I shall be running two secret checks, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
See you at the weekend.

Good to see a Cooper 'S' in 4th place, so well done to Darrell & Nicky Staniforth in their 1967 car.
A strange fact of 'modern 'historic' rallying is that there were more Porsches entered than Minis.
When I was rallying a Porsche 911 fifty years ago on UK National and International rallies we were usually the only one amongst huge numbers of Minis and MK.1 Cortinas. How times change.

We did ok, first time we have made any attempt at keeping track of the timing, and to be honest we seemed to do reasonably well. Ended up 51st O/A and 2nd in class. Bit disappointing as we could have won if we hadn't of nearly run out of fuel and had to take a diversion to fill up meaning we were too late for 2 tests and got maximums for them plus a missed check. Still it's our own fault.
Have ilkley jubilee next month but we are in the next class up now so chances of a result are slim.
Think we saw you at a couple controls cooperman, we were in the orange clubman.

He said the scrutineers usually do that so you change it for the next time.
As you know I have run with a fibreglass bonnet for years but it’s my fault for not checking the current blue book as it looks like the regulations for historic cars are changing all the time.
First job today is price one up through work. Then I will be changing a few things on the car just to make sure everything is 100% complient
Well done to you both again and I can’t believe you missed 2 tests and still beat us lol

Cec Offley and I enjoyed our day as we always do. We just missed having our 'old mate' Barrie Whizzo Williams with us, but we think he was there in spirit.
I was eating the crisps which the organisers brought round to the marshals. It was especially good to sign in the Minis and I agree, they did look good.
Well done to all of you who entered.
