does it earth through the 5/16 bolt securing it to the bracket or is there a separate wire going to ground somewhere. When I dismantled the car 4 years ago I do not recall any earth connections bar the ones in the boot and engine strap

Surely if there is no spark and no fuel then it's something to do with the imobiliser ?????

Do you hear the fuel pump spining when you first put the ignition on ?

This is what I did to mine when I was having problems.

Take a 9v battery (PP3 they used to be called) and sent the 9v to each injector with wires etc. you should hear a slight click if it's not stuck closed (mine were)

alarm operates and turns off as per handbook light on dash also as per.

Tried starting no joy.  Plug out again no spark no residual petrol on tip.

Modern ecu's often won't fire injectors or coil unless cranking Rpm is sufficient. I know nothing about the injected minis but have you tried jumping it and letting it crank over for a bit longer than usual?

If the immobiliser wasn't deactivating, the car wouldn't turn over. That's not to say there couldn't be a fault.

The earth is sort of on the bulkhead, in the upper left corner.

I'll get a snap tomorrow if you can't find it.

Edit - Have you made sure the ECU plugs are fully home?
