Just ordered an new interior(seats, door cards, boot liner, headliner..) from Optimise. We are super stoked but my questions is what else should I be doing/replacing while I installed the interior.

Car is a 96 Jap spec

same boat as you mate. Clean up everything, anti rust what you can. grease all screws/bolts that enter the body work to counter act the rust. im also doing the dash so for me its also clean up the wiring behind and sound proof everything ;)

As all above. Plus put some dynamat and sound absorbing stuff on the inside of the roof. If your putting dynamat on the floor pan really make sure it’s in good condition and rot free as the mat will hide it. I bare metalled and painted mine with POR15. Took the chance and injected all the cavities with dynax as well.

Carpets are actually the only thing I am not doing. I am new to the hobby but why is everyone suggesting sound absorbing materials? Aren't minis supposed to be loud.
