Hi mini people, what kind of mileage could you expect from an A Series with big power like 150-200bhp between rebuilds? Just want to know that’s all.
Thanks in advance

Maybe the bores or something, it was just after read Mini Magazine and how that Harvest Gold Clubman Turbo got 40,000 miles from its previous 160bhp engine

Totally depends on the setup and service schedule.
One 160bhp engine can smash out tens of thousands of miles, the next might go pop after one year if the tune is crap.

It’s all subjective.
Regular servicing, decent oil, letting the car warm up correctly before giving it beans etc etc etc.
Also what components have been used in the build, is it a home built engine or a recognised professional with experience.

It depends on how the power is obtained. If a forced induction unit with all top quality parts and excellent build standard it will last much longer than a very high-revving and high compression n/a unit.

However, the high torque of forced induction units can knock hell out of the Mini transmission.
