I am looking for a news seat of mirrors. These seem pretty neat.
Anyone have them? Can you see anything in them? etc?
Thanks

Decent! On my daily Mini for 7+ years, have no issues!

I have a pair of them in my pile of rebuild parts, but won't be fitting them now. Was going to wait until my build is finished, then list them and any other spare parts on here.

They sure look like good mirrors.
Of course, the early cars didn't come with any external mirrors as C & U regs didn't require then. I can't remember the date from which an external mirror was required to be fitted, but I'm sure someone on here will know.
When you think about it, those huge mirrors fitted to later cars sure do increase the drag (and thus reduce top speed and increase petrol consumption). They are around 6" x 4" so that's 48 sq.ins. of area into the airflow. I like the small rectangular 'Stadium' A-post mirror on the drivers side. it is about 3.5" x 2.5".
Te reduce the drag on the 1990 Rover Cooper I am about to collect for some restoration I shall remove the huge mirrors and fit one small one, then remove the wheel arch extensions as I won't need them with the 4.5" x 10" wheel conversion I shall be doing.
