That'll tell you what it was.... originally - if the red paint has been done very well - no 998 was originally red then a fair bet it's been out before and it's anyone's guess what 998 derived spec you now have ....

Could anyone here tell me what version of the 998 I have?
A red one
According to the numbers it should be 1970-71 998cc from a round tunnel Mk3 Mini 1000 with a 3.44 remote gearbox (3.44, 4.93, 7.63, 12.13)
Dished pistons, 8.3:1 compression ratio, 38bhp (28.3kW) @ 5250rpm, Max torque 52lb ft (70.5Nm) @2700rpm 82mph 0-60mph=18.7secs.
