Hello from a rather rain soaked Morgan Hill, California. I purchased my first Mini in November of 2018, a 1960 Austin Mini DeLux. The car had a new motor and trans installed in 2000 but the owner never drove it. He parked the car in 2001 and it sat in indoor storage for the next 17 years. I picked it up and immediately went to work replacing all of the bushings / bearings/ and other worn out bits. I swapped out the drums for discs up front. I added an original OEM right tank because I liked the look better than the single tank. The car is a solid runner now. So naturally I tore it all apart for a complete paint job. The car has been in the body shop for the past 2 weeks. I hope to get it back in a few weeks.
Below are photos of when I picked it up, a few of when I was working on it, one from when I delivered it to the shop, and how it sat last Saturday.

As you can see the shell is in remarkable shape for a 60 year old car. Only a few bumps and hickeys over the years.
Can't wait to get it back and to start reassembly.
Thanks!
