Hi;

 

Several threads on here ref a Metro 1275 that I am going to refurbish.

 

Not sure how I missed these before but there are several chunks missing from the Crank Shaft, I am going to presume that this is from lightening but before I spend any money on this rebuild I would like your thoughts / advice. Is this crank ok?

PS if you just looked in your  Haynes manual you could see the exact same cuts.

thats what they do to a bog standard crank just to get it to rotate without too much vibration if you have seen a fully Lightened N Balanced  crank it looks much different
