Hi all, I have a 1968 mk1 positive earth with dynamo and control box, the problem I'm experiencing is that on a run sometimes the charging light will come on and I lose the temp gauge and fuel gauge, it will stay on for perhaps a minute and then the charging light will go off and I get the gauges back. I have replaced the voltage stabilizer on the back of the Speedo but that hasn't solved the issue, I'm wondering if it is a problem with the voltage regulator (control box). Any ideas greatly appreciated

Strange you loose the other two gauges when it stops charging, because there is so many amateur elictricians I'd be checking the wiring around the voltage regulator for issues, and casting you eye over the control box, as the spade terminals / screw type are know for dirty connections. Could be the control box needs setting up
