Cheers, I have now had a chance to have a better look around it, looks like a previous abandoned project.
Turned engine by hand, not seized!
Floor and rear end has had welding work, not the neatest but solid, newish rear sub-frame, still in primer though.
Engine bay is roughest looking, the only area of severe tin worm (I have found so far) is the panel that the door straps (used) to attach to.
Inner/Outer wings and front windscreen scuttle panel seem solid though.
Any suggestions on best way to tackle it, didn't really want to go removing wings etc.
Any advise gratefully received, cheers.
Pete

So that piece which is the scuttle closeout goes here, however with the rust you have got you will need to carry out a repair.
Now for that you will need this panel
https://www.minispar...|Back to search
You can cut out of that what you need and add some extra material which looking at your picture is what you will need to do.
Something like this
Then once you have carried out the repair you need to do you then install the closeout panel and you will end up looking like this
Now this was all done fairly rough and ready to get some use out of the car, much like you are trying achieve.
Now the biggest problem you have is the rust goes up further than the flitch repair panel will go, so in that case you will need to try and do this without removing the scuttle or at the minimum the scuttle end section.
Now you can get up and into the scuttle area with the right tools but its not easy. And by the way the pictures are for reference only and you may not have to remove the A panel for access although i would recommend it as they are cheap.
If its bent weld it up.If its really bent use a calibrated impact tool size large

As long as you are careful then you can cut out the affected areas and patch in new sections.
My scuttle was not perfect but there was enough metal for me to weld the closeout panel to. The Flitch was ok and agin good enough for me to weld up as a temporary thing until the resto.
The first couple of pictures i could have easily got away without removing the A panel, i choose to remove it for access plus there was rot lurking. The later pictures are of the car in full restoration so everything was removed.
