Hi guys,

I’ve had my 1275 engine out, and rebuilt. Getting through the teething problems thought I was nearly there and now i’ve a petrol leak which doesn’t seem to be coming from the obvious places you would look, fuel lines, throttle body. Looking from underneath the car the petrol is running down the drivers side of front subframe RHD. When the car is running it’s seemed to be splitting down around rear of manifold...very safe eh!

I know i’m giving much in terms of detail, but I have no photos to hand. And there isn’t really much else I can say about it.

Have you looked at the fuel rail end caps?

There’s wee rubber o ring seals in them that can perish and crack. Mine did.

They're an odd size, quite meaty.

They need decent lubrication when fitting back in and are an easy replace.
