After many hours of searching I’m still not being able to find a replacement module for a 59DM4 electronic iginition. I believe this uses number Ducellier 512007D? The searches I make for this give very limited availability and all list citron or Peugeot. Can anyone advise if these are available under a different part number

Thanks

This is the only one I can find. Although details say all electronic ignition units its intended to bolt onto the later type 65DM4 where as the 59DM4 has a separate unit. It’s the separate unit I just can’t find. I would be interested to know if this will work though. I’m still searching. Thanks

I wonder if you can use the type 65 one? They both use the same coil

As no Minis had 59dm4's as standard only 65's they're correct in claiming it fits all such Minis. I reckon there's a good chance you can make one work if you run out of options.

Thanks for the responses. Unfortunately I do not have the original. The engine is from metro turbo. I have a used 65DM4 that I could use with original module. But I also have NOS genuine Austin 59DM4 that was also used on the earlier engines. As the 59DM4 is new I would prefer to use this one. Just seem impossible to locate a new module

Thanks

Rob

so you have the two wire coming out with the terminal on the end? so you need a amplifier as above or an equivalent. were fitted to quite a few BL cars. but most went to the states. seen then used from about 80 quid to new at 500! there is not much to them (google) so surprised the dizzy doc cant make one up.
