Hi Guys,

Looking for some help connecting my headlights and indicators to the main loom.

The indicators - I just need to know if the black or green/red should go to a particular connecting point or if it doesn’t matter?

The headlights - I bought the loom mini spares said I should. I have a sealed beam headlight so don’t need the sidelight wiring. However my main loom has two connecting point, black and green/red. The headlight wiring loom has possible 3 cables I can connect. Black, blue/white and blue/red... was wondering which two I connect to the black and green/red?

Black is always -ve ("earth" in a car)

Green/red is the indicator live (+ve)

Blue/red is the headlight live (+ve)

Blue/white is the headlight high beam live (+ve)

For your indicator bulb, the black is connected to the flange, the green/red is connected to the bulb end (bottom connection in your photo).

Thanks a lot for the help!

A little confused with the comment on the headlight wiring.

The green/red wire and black wire in the second picture are for connecting to the headlight loom (red, black, blue/red, blue/white)

There are standard colour codes for British cars, anything you have on the original wiring that doesn't conform with the codes you will need to check what it is, or someone here might be able to give you guidance. It's worth trying to keep to the correct colour codes to make fault finding easier. See the attached pdf.

Thanks a ton for the help.

UPDATE:

I have since found what I think is the right point of connection?

Next question is how do I attach both headlight looms to this? As it’s the only wiring on the main loom that matches the colours.

Can you explain your problem in more detail, it's not clear what you're struggling to do?

I need to attach all 6 of these to the previous picture.

There two black which will connect.
I need to know the best way of connecting the blue/white and blue/red from each headlight loom to the one blue/white and blue/red in the loom.

Sorry for any confusion.

I need to connect 1 blue/white bullet end from each headlight so 2 bullet ends to the 1 blue/white bullet end on the main wiring loom

Thank you! Apologies for how frustrating that conversation must have been for such a simple answer lol

Thank you for taking the time to solve it!
