That drop bracket is a adding a pivot, at least make sure it's arranged so both of its fixing points are in line and perpendicular to the column, not forming a dog leg.

Suppose someone ought to mention slackening the rack U bolt nuts while you adjust the angle of the column so it can align and not stress the splines connecting the two.


Yeah I knew to slacken those bolts but definitely worth stating it for safeties sake.

With clarification on the movement, undo the pinch bolt on the column to rack,undo the 3 wiring plugs at the base of the cowling and whip the column retaining bolt out the bracker and have a good look at the column bushes
