You are not the first to have forgotten, Lol

 

Replace the switch with a 2 way switch, so that when you brake the pump circuit you make a circuit with a flashing diode by the ignition key.

 

Pull the fuel pipe off the carb and see if fuel squirts out.

So I had a rethink on bending the exhuast. It didn't really seem like a good idea to change the angle or flow of an exhuast that has been designed to maximise flow. So I took a look at the Filter. So it turns out the one I have has a centre hole. The old filter I had laying around had an offset hole. So I doctored the two together drilled some extra holes and bobs your uncle an extra 2 inches of space. That will give me the room to tip the engine back and make some clearance for the exhaust fingers crossed.

oh I did do that. took the carb off and had a good blow in all the jets etc. Dont know what was wrong but its running now. rattling like crazy at idle but running.
