Interesting to read in the (10 page) Spring 2019 Miniworld interview with Reg Phillips (Manager of the Mini Body in White production line from 1992 to 1999) that there was a possibility that some of the Mini variant models would be brought back into production using the original panel presses in the mid 1990's. There were a lot of ideas going around with the success of the Mini Cooper reintroduction and they were going to start building the Mini Countryman and Van again at Longbridge. A team was set up to look into the feasibility of how much it was going to cost but sadly in the end it was not to be.....
