Here is my little workshop. The tools collected over decades:

oh there are some tools there I could do with.

Tell them to get all that worthless rubbish to the tip!

It's such a rare commodity to have the space to tinker like that, it always amazes me how much worthless rubbish gets allowed into the best bit of the house.

I would, however after my wife left me, it's also storage for my stuff.

...like the messy one with the self-grown "herbes" on the left side.

hahaha! I knew someone would comment on that! They are banana plants.  O_O

The garage does look a bit peculiar with purple grow lamps from the outside.

Looks like a good combination Mini and Midget same as me and my son :-)

'59 Frogeye  :-) not far off though! I sometimes struggle to decide which car is more fun!

Very nice! I like my son's mini more than my midget :ohno:

Hi, getting on with clearing garage, got a engine and house window being picked up today just a few more bits to sort! It’s a single concrete garage with no power. I have two issues I was hoping for some advise on. Firstly outside the ground slopes away. I want to be able to move the car in and out, probably push it out but won’t be able to get it back, thinking about a hand winch at the back of the garage, anybody got any advise, I don’t see any particular issues, might need a pulley wheel near to front of garage to stop wire cutting in. Looked and with wire winches start about £15, not a lot to give a try at least.
My second issue is the garage being concrete and damp/corrosion issues on parts, previously I have had a motorbike I restored, had to lay it up a while in a garage (8 months or so), I was gutted with the effect it had. Anybody got similar experience?

You can buy a 12V winch used on ATV's pretty cheaply, then all you need is a charged up battery....beats cranking it by hand for ever.

How much slope? can you make it work for you with ramps to level it out and gain some elevation as a bonus?

Possibly cheers, it’s rough ground, not sure ramps would be stable enough.
Had thought of using the winch to pull car up ramps inside garage.

Mine is about 6.5x7.5m and has the garage door offset to one side because of a poorly placed street light... It started as a blank space

We built a bench

Put in a couple of sets of shelving

And there is enough room for three cars - but most of the time the mini is on the right bay so I can drive it, and it gives me room to keep parts out I'm working on.
