As a project, way off being road worthy, what’s the thoughts on insurance? Any recommendations gratefully taken.

I'd always look at Adrian Flux first.  The do all sorts of specialist policies and I think they have one for when you're off the road.

It's a personal decision, and I suppose it depends on whether it drives and where it is stored - ie is it actually stealable.  I never bothered but mine is a late model which would have been cheap and easy to put right, relatively speaking - might be different if you're restoring a £750k DB5

I went with Peter James also.  Wouldn't trust flux.

Peter Best as mentioned and I personally think it is well worth it as it’s not only theft to worry about but other damage particularly fire.

Called Peter James £67 which seemed fair enough, needs to be garaged though, currently sorting my stuff out so it fits.
Purchase price seems to become the valuation fee, has anybody experience on increasing this as work is carried out?

insured mine through Classicline (for £60) as they offer an agreed value option (albeit subject to 6 photos and an extra £24) on a part-built car

other insurers i spoke to (including Peter James) would only offer agreed value on a laid up policy for a complete vehicle
