Given the mini a little blast earlier, 998cc. Its got an oil pressure gauge and always has good oil pressure but I noticed that when I got home at idle the pressure was jumping back and forth from 40-50psi. If I revved it sat at 75psi. Any reason why it was jumping back and forth at idle???

Because the oil is hot, it will be ok as long as the pressure doesn't drop under 20psi

When was it last serviced?

It's just I never noticed it before but this was after a good blast. I restarted it later on and all good with no fluctuations. Maybe change oil and filter. Wasn't changed to long ago but I don't do much mileage

There's the issue, change for a new thimble type oil pressure relief valve

Yep, the balls bobble round in the oil flow.
