Nope. Just the triangle plate

The only way to change the end float is to machine the big sprocket. Decrease endfloat by machining the extension with the little slot in it. Increase endfloat by machining the larger step that runs against the triangle plate

isn't there normally a shim behind the large gear on the end of the camshaft to shim it to the correct endfloat? cant find it on minispares.com

hm. ok. well then thats why I cant find it :) I'm sure I have seen some of my engines having a shim there though

Not confusing that with the shims behind the bottom, small sprocket ?

A shim between the sprocket and cam would increase the float, one between the sprocket and triangle plate would be so thin it would soon break up

no I'm not confusing them and yes I realise you are right. but still I have seen it on at least one of my engines when taking it apart.

Maybe some one took too much off and had to make a shim to put it right

Or didn't fit a new triangular plate when it was obviously worn. My engine had too much float so I just bought a fitted a new plate ... job done. No machining, no shims.

a shim would not last there are is is possibly a load bearing surface. they would just fold up and disintegrate.

 

note some gaskets are thinner than they should be and that can cause issues.
