What Do You Do When Odometer Maxes

Title says it all, what do you do legally and technically when your odometer maxes out, im currently at 80k and it can only go to 99,999.9.

it goes back to 0 and you take some sort of recording/its in the register so that IF and when you sell, there is no "fakeing" it being new or low milage. Not much you can do other than that :)

The online MOT history will show that it's going around the clock for the second time. otherwise, there's nothing you need to do.

At MOT time it's better if the tester can record the actual mileage including the "lost" 100,000 otherwise any future checks (e.g. HPI) will show up an inconsistent mileage history.

Low mileage Mini, and its suddenly worth 10x more. I wouldn’t panic, my minis on its 5th Speedo in my ownership.

when it goes back to 0 miles  , you will get a random prize -

 

usually an oil painting on the garage floor

 

or a new bit of rust

 

sometimes a water leak that ends up in the foot well

 

mini's are fun like that 

 

(some minis will give random prizes at lower mileage - for their lucky owners)

It just goes over to 00000 the MOT or HPI might flag the mileage difference but it will be ok
