  • Spectators watched in horror as the Huracan Performante smashed into a wall
  • The driver escaped unharmed from the crash in Acton in west London
  • But he was reported in tears at the side of the road after his costly mistake

Sorry but what a complete and utter arse. He deserved that to be honest.

All because you own a super car does not mean you are capable of driving it. I hope the Old Bill had a word with the idiot.

And the fact no bystanders or pedestrians were injured was a stoke of luck, nothing more.

I always laugh at movies that show supercar car chases were the show them bumbing off things or going a little off road or down steps or curbs without any damage but this shows just how easy they fall apart.

I once saw a Porsche do the same sort of getaway from the Dartford Tolls. He ended up backwards looking like a right dinlo.

Escaping from muddy fields at V festival, a young lad in his dad's Bentley GT gave it the beans to get up a big incline (to be fair, the 4wd grip was amazing that it got up there) and then immediately went down the other side of the hill and slid sideways into a parked Golf. Not sure I've ever cringed so much in my life. Everyone stood around watching him make 'the phone call'.

What's remarkable is that there are dozens of clips on YouTube showing Lamborghinis in particular being crashed by drivers with too much money and too little sense. Lots too showing the rear end catching fire while they're revved to death in neutral. Amazing there's any left on the road.

Oh dear. It seems to be broken.

That won't polish out with a bit of T-Cut!

Look what happens when you drive faster than you know how to.

I wonder if it was insured for 'racing, pace making and speed testing? I bet it wasn't and when an insurer sees that he ain't gonna be too keen to pay out.

think the driver needs a car with a little less beans (something that they can handle maybe), is stylish and catches passer-by's attention. anyone know of anything suitable? ??

The line on his claims form that asks if there were any witnesses  :P

The number of camera vultures is almost as shocking, but that's probably also why he was there.

Still hard to figure out why - trying to pull a 180???
