I bought one of the very early pro-motive kits. Super easy to install. Just a bolt in job, they convert your loom for £100 too.

My total spend was around £4500 including the pro-mo kit, engine, Tran-x LSD and hardy spicer outputs.

My R1 5PW setup was £1200 and came with loom, clocks, rectifier & airbox.

I wonder how much an NA 150hp A-series with sequential dog box would cost?

Out of interest where did you source your engine and loom?

Fifty years ago, people used to say "Look at the power the Japs are getting out of their bike engines, couldn't you fit one in a Mini ?".

My reply was always the same "If you work out how to fix reverse gear, I'll try"

Using a starter motor to reverse a car full, up hill along a country lane, does not fix the problem.

Pro motive now provide a reverse gearbox with their kit.

Very sadly, it would seem that Pro motive haven't done anything for 10 years.

I bought it from a guy called Richard in Croft. He was breaking the whole bike. He even gave me the service history and old M.O.T's for the bike!

It's great having the original clocks as I know the mileage matches the motor. I'm up to around 16,800 miles now I think.
