Hi Guys,

I am really wanting to try some 6x10 GBs or 6x10 Minators on before i take the 400 quid purchase! Does anyone have one i could borrow for 10 mins... will happily travel and provide beer tokens!

Cant decide if i want to go 6x10 and cosmic arch rather than current reverse rims...

Also proper stamped reverse rims with new tyres may be available soon if anyone keen...

I think your car looks great without wheel arch extensions. You can fit 4,5" or maybe 5" alloys without fitting arch extensions.

A Mini design just looks so much 'cleaner' without arch extensions. The propensity of the wheel arches to rust where the extension fixings go is also an issue with extensions.

I am working on a 1990 Cooper and the arch extensions are to be removed, the holes filled with weld and the car re-painted.

My logic is that a classic Mini is best on a 145 or 165 section tyre. That width tyre will fit best on a 4.5" or, at most, a 5" wheel. That means an arch extension is not necessary.

To many the later Minis look 'fussy' with the arch extensions, huge mirrors, etc, and the earlier cars look crisp and neater.

Haha thanks guys, I am torn. Would rather not fit arches to be honest... But think i do want to change the Reverse's... Thats why tempted with the 6x10 GBs, from what i can tell, they will stick out the same as current setup if i lose the spacered drums... see below...

Stunning car.Great colour. I'm thinking of going the other way. I have 6x10 minilites with arches and tempted by rose petals and no arches. How wide are the reverse rims? Do you have spacers on or have you got S discs?

Have to agree with the others Nick. That is one stunning car just as it is!

Cheers, Steve.
