Its not the plug on the back as that is still in the Block. Its about 1/2" in diameter and is a 20 thread.

But then where does it go?

Has the look of a plug about it - not long enough to hold anything in place - is the underside of the head smooth (for a copper washer)? or nicked as if lock washer used?

I dont think so. There was No inlet on This engine when i took it appart

ok where could it go. there are very few places. the drain hole back of block. the servo take off on the inlet or the temp sender hole. it may fit the bypass hole but that is an odd thread and most people fit a grub screw.

 

 

to be honest put it to one side and if you need it you need it if you dont dont worry about it.
