Hi all. I was wondering if anyone would know if this head would fit and work well on my 1275spi. It's a vmaxscart st3 head 36 and 30mm valves ported and polished with 19.5cc chambers. Just want to know if it would fit and work well before I invest in itAttached File  ad_1554844580780.jpg   48.42K   3 downloads

That's an MPi head, should work! However your thermostat housing will be at a different angle because of it.

why would it be at a different angle? all 1275 heads have the same thermostat hole orientation.

the only main difference is the casting holes or lack of. no temp take off as there is the mounting holes for the high mount alternator.

The combustion chamber cc is low compared to a standard SPI so your compression ratio will be different, you would be advised to work this out before fitting

Worth dropping Stuart at Vmaxscart an email? He might have more info on the original specs of the head. https://www.vmaxscar...nder-head-work/

This should clarify it.

yep a 1275 and a 998 so there are bigger issues than the stat holes.

No they don't. You try putting an MPi thermostat housing on any other cylinder head..

no problems I have. and it is fine. as long as it is a 1275.
