I would suggest that the tracking has been adjusted without centering the rack, which is why the wheel is off centre. It is well known that SlowFit often forget that. (They recently did my friend's Ford Focus without centering it properly, leaving him with massive bump steer and asymmetric steering torque.) The Haynes manual will explain the procedure, which involves removing a plug in the passenger side toeboard and a matching plug in the rack, and inserting a pin. Some say it should be 1/4 inch diameter, others 6mm, but it should be a snug fit. You need to wiggle the wheel to get it in. Wherever you go, make them do it properly.

Also, as steering column spline failure is the main killer in Minis, and there is some doubt about their condition, you really do need to remove the steering column and inspect the splines. Then the simple procedure of aligning the rack to the column needs to be carried out. That you can do yourself, and it should be done before the alignment. Fit a new pinch bolt and nylok nut. If you centre the rack at the same time, remove the wheel and refit it in the straight ahead position, it will give whoever does the alignment no excuse to get it wrong.
